Overview

The barcode and QR code recognition processor recognizes as many codes as possible within an image and decodes them. This processor makes it possible to recognize and decode several barcodes and QR codes scattered across an image.

Depending on the developer's configuration, the results are displayed (e.g. as an overlay). To improve the recognition of QR codes, a special binarizer and QR pattern finder has been developed, which enables QR code recognition under special lighting conditions and distortion.

Key Features & Capabilities

Multi-Code Recognition

Recognize multiple barcodes and QR codes within a single image simultaneously, or optimize for single-code scenarios.

Inverted Code Support

Optionally recognize inverted barcodes (white on black) in addition to standard codes for maximum flexibility.

Advanced Binarizers

Choose from Histogram (fastest), Hybrid (balanced), or Improved DPM binarizers optimized for challenging lighting conditions.

Format Filtering

Selectively recognize specific barcode formats and configure character encoding to improve performance and accuracy.

Visual Overlays

Display recognition results with customizable overlay colors, stroke widths, and rectangle dimensions for 1D and 2D codes.

Fluent API

Configure all options using an intuitive fluent builder pattern for clean and maintainable code.

Supported Formats

Comprehensive support for all major 1D and 2D barcode formats:

2D Codes

  • QR Code
  • Data Matrix, including rectangular formats and DMRE
  • PDF417
  • Aztec
  • MaxiCode

Linear Barcodes

  • Code 39
  • Code 93
